Tristach | Natural ice rink Tristachersee
Beautifully situated is the ice rink on the ‘Tristachersee’ lake. The only lake in the region, the Tristachersee turns into a super-size ice-skating rink in winter. The official start date of the skating rink is done by the Municipality of Lienz once an ice thickness of at least 20 cm is recorded. Due to the weather, ice skating can be restricted if for example the weather is too warm. The Lake Tristach is a short drive from Lienz and can be reached by car or by the free ski bus which operates in the winter season. Ice skates can be rented at the ice rink on the Pustertalerstraße (see above).
