After checking in guests will receive professional state-of-the-art safety equipment followed by a fitting and a safety briefing including how to use the harness. Before being let loose on the climbing courses, visitors will first have to go on the practice course to learn about the operation of the safety equipment as well as climbing techniques. Each participant must complete the training course to a satisfactory level before being allowed into the main climbing park.
Once in the climbing park guests are free to move around on any climbing course, under the watchful eye of the staff who will attend to help with problems or questions should anyone get stuck.
Even for small visitors, children from the age of 2½ upwards are allowed into the Kids Park where parents can monitor the activities of their offspring up close and safely. The highlight of the Kids Park is the “Woodcar”!
As well as the climbing park itself, guests can also combine their day with a stop at the Moosalm restaurant, petting zoo and childrens play area meaning that this is a perfect day out for families. And what better way to finish off than with a blast down the mountain on the Osttirodler Alpine Coaster!
The climbing park is located 2.5 km above Lienz Schlossberg at the Osttirodler Alpine Coaster starting point. The easiest way to get there is to take the Hochstein ski lift gondola to the Moosalm. It’s also possible to walk from the Hochstein ski lift car park via well-designed trails.
