AdventureAustria is based in Lienz, the capital town of East Tyrol. The Dolomite town of Lienz has two excellent ski resorts (Zettersfeld and Hochstein) which are both located very close to the main town centre. For those wanting to discover other nearby resorts, the small but high resort (2,600m) of Ankogel Mallnitz is located close to Mölltal Glacier in Carinthia approximately 45 minutes from Lienz.
The Ankogel Mallnitz ski resort is in the heart of the Hohe Tauern national park on the Carinthia/Salzburg border.
Skiing high above the tree line with virtually no queuing for lifts along with breathtaking scenery makes this small resort a real hidden gem.
It is well suited for intermediate skiers with advanced skiers finding many more challenging possibilities off-piste.
The Ankogel Mallnitz resort is also included in the ‘Ski Hit’ ski pass for Carinthia and East Tyrol.
