AdventureAustria is based in Lienz, the capital town of East Tyrol. The Dolomite town of Lienz has two excellent ski resorts (Zettersfeld and Hochstein) which are both located very close to the main town centre.
The world famous Kitzbühel ski resort in Tyrol (1 hour drive from Lienz) needs almost no introduction. It is simply one of the biggest names in Austrian winter sports.
As well as extensive skiing possibilities, Kitzbühel is as famous for its skiing as the prominent guests that visit. The legendary Hahnenkamm Mountain hosts one of the best known and most dangerous men’s downhill ski races taking place in January each year.
Kitzbühel is at the heart of Tyrolean winter sport with fantastic facilities, glamorous hotels, excellent nightlife, top restaurants, exclusive shops and everything else you would expect from a world class ski resort.
The town itself is a good size and has something on offer not only for the VIP’s but for everyone, including families with children.
