AdventureAustria is based in Lienz, the capital town of East Tyrol. The Dolomite town of Lienz has two excellent small ski resorts (Zettersfeld and Hochstein) which are both located very close to the main town centre.
The Mölltal Glacier ski resort near Flattach (located just 40km from our base) is the only glacier and all year-round skiing area in Carinthia/East Tyrol and is the only skiing area that exceeds the magical 3,000 meter mark.
The Mölltal Glacier ski resort can only be reached by using the train which takes you up through the inside of the mountain in a very steep tunnel.
Once you arrive, 71 kilometres of perfectly prepared slopes await you as well as a fun park for snowboarders and countless freeride options. The views from the top of the glacier are simply breathtaking…
Great conditions and guaranteed snow also attract a number of national ski teams including the Austrian national team who can often be seen training here throughout the year. Due to the high location of the glacier, there is no apres ski, instead visitors will often stay in the small town of Flattach situated nearby.
