Grossglockner Resort Kals Matrei | AdventureAustria

Lienz itself, where AdventureAustria is based has two ski resorts; Zettersfeld and Hochstein. Both offer excellent skiing particularly for intermediate skiing levels. One ski pass covers both ski resorts with free bus services running between them. By purchasing the ‘Ski Hit’ ski pass you’ll be able to ski in a total of 8 different ski resorts covering 357km. Experience the unique and different character of each resort with its ski runs, mountain restaurants, après-ski and charming town and village centres.  Skiing is offered for all abilities so you can be sure to find a resort suited for you.

Lienz would make a good base to adventure out to a different ski resort each day (the so called Ski Safari) with resorts located between 20 minutes and 1 hour’s drive from Lienz.

The ‘Ski Hit’ pass also includes the Mölltal Glacier ski resort in Carinthia which offers skiing over 3000 meters and is open 11 months of the year! Children’s prices for Lienz and the ‘Ski Hit’ pass are also applicable for children up to the age of 18 – perfect for families and younger ski groups.

East Tyrol and Carinthia are also well known for stunning natural beauty, good snow records and sunny ‘blue sky’ weather!

Lienz town itself is a very pleasant medieval town with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and other things to do when you’re not on the slopes. Nearest airports include Klagenfurt, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Trieste, Ljubljana and Munich.

There is more information on this website to help you decide on planning your journey to Austria, whether you are planning to reach us by cartrain or airplane.
