I‘ll be back… Who doesn’t know this quote? It is the famous quote from the movie Terminator. Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most famous citizens of Styria (Steiermark). If you want to, you can follow his tracks and visit the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum.

However, Styria, the green heart of Austria, has a lot more to offer visitors than Arnie. For example mountain climbing or hiking around the Dachstein and the Hochschwab, as well as hiking trails through apple orchards, vineyards and pumpkin fields in nature’s paradise. Also on two wheels you will have even more opportunity of getting to know the country and its people. In Styria there are a large number of gentle cycle paths suitable for all the family.  And for those who really want to do nothing but relax and let go, you will feel very at home in Styria. The wellness and culinary offers are a particular highlight in Styria making this the perfect holiday destination.

Styria is the state with the second largest population in Austria and is the fourth largest in terms of size. It is bordered by the counties of Carinthia, Salzburg, Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Burgenland, as well as Slovenia in the south. Up until the end of the First World War in 1918, Styria was a prominent territory of the Austria-Hungarian monarchy. In 2003 the capital city of Styria, Graz was the European Capital of Culture.
